Monash University Biomedical Learning and Teaching Building
Innovative tertiary education building with a unique facade
The Monash University Biomedical Learning and Teaching Building project is to deliver a new teaching building for the School of Biomedical Sciences, as part of a greater redevelopment of the entire Building 13 (Medicine) complex at Clayton Campus to accommodate Faculty needs and growth.
The new Biomedical Learning and Teaching Building will consist of 5,500 sqm of UFA teaching space, with an additional 3,600 sqm of grossing area (a total GFA of 9,100 sqm).
This building is an important addition to Monash University’s Clayton campus by consolidating the School of Biomedical Sciences into the Building 13 precinct.
The total estimated cost for the new building and associated works is $95 million where construction commenced in 2016 and was completed in 2019.
