New Schools PPP Project
Design, construction and operation of 12 schools in Victoria
The New Schools PPP (Public Private Partnership) Project involves design, construction, and operation of 12 schools, located in Melbourne’s suburban periphery, along with key growth areas in the Geelong area.
The schools are delivered in two stages, with Point Cook, South P-9 and Mernda Central P-12 being commissioned for the commencement of the 2017 school year, followed by six northern and south eastern schools, completed at the end of 2017. Four schools at Torquay, Geelong, Armstrong Creek, and Bannockburn were completed by the end of 2018.
All schools will support new options for students with a disability, including an inclusive education precinct at Armstrong Creek and a special developmental school in North Geelong.
Bonacci Group was also responsible for civil design across 7 of the school sites, including Bannockburn, Epping North, Point Cook South, Armstrong Creek, Torquay North, Mernda South, and Mernda Central. Each site entailed significant site works and design specifically relating to playing ovals and courts.
