The Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre building was built in two stages.
Stage 1 involved the construction of 4 radiotherapy bunkers with 1 fit-out, ambulatory oncology, and a health and wellness centre. This stage also involved the addition of foyer and reception areas, and a shell area for the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research.
Stage 2 comprised of future-proofing to take additional levels to accommodate in-patient wards for acute oncology beds and the clinical trials program. 28 palliative care bed wards, and two additional fully fitted radiotherapy bunkers and associated planning space were also constructed.
