$53 million redevelopment at the University of Melbourne

The University of Melbourne Werribee Campus contains vital infrastructure for the faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Science activities, including a Veterinary and Agricultural Science activities, including a Veterinary Hospital, an Equine Centre, various animal research facilities, teaching facilities and student accommodation. This will enhance the facilities for animal treatment and training for future veterinarians. 

The new development comprises of the following key buildings and refurbishment:

  • 5-storey Learning and Teaching Building, including refurbishment of existing buildings with 5 Star Green Star rating. Gross Floor Area: 7,680 metres square
  • 2-storey Veterinary Hospital Frontage Extension and refurbishment of existing spaces with 4 Star Green Star rating. Gross Floor Area: 1,576 metres square
The project also includes delivering the eastern temporary carparking to compensate parking losses to staff, students and the public through construction, and an upgraded 118-space car park (Western Car Park) and 96-space car park (Northern Car Park). 
 
Other facilities include new hospital entry, cafe, landscaped gardens, and improved accessibility.
